Should I be baptized this Sunday?

Don’t miss your chance to get baptized. At Real Life Church, we believe the baptism is a time of celebration. It’s an opportunity to confess to the world what Christ has on the inside of our hearts.

This is what the Word of God says about it:

(1 Peter 3:21 TLB) In baptism we show that we have been saved from death and doom by the resurrection of Christ; not because our bodies are washed clean by the water but because in being baptized we are turning to God and asking him to cleanse our hearts from sin.

Baptism is not salvation. It is the declaration that we have been saved.

This past Sunday, Pastor Brandon talked about what baptism is and why you should be baptized. To watch that message, click here.

Who is this weekend’s baptism opportunity for?

1. Anyone who has made a commitment for Christ and wants to take the next step in their faith.

2. Anyone who would like to make a public declaration of what Christ has done on the inside.

3. Anyone who may have been baptized as a before but not since they’ve made a commitment to Christ.

4. Anyone who would like to ‘renew their vow’ to Christ. By being baptized you are saying, “After all this time, I’m still in love with you.”

Does one of those fit you? Let us know. Send us an email here asap and we’ll get you set up. >>> info@experiencerlc.com

So Close…

It’s getting so exciting around here.

Painting is almost complete.
Baseboards are being put down.
Floors are being finished.
Ceilings are going up.

PHASE ONE is really coming together.

We’re making the final push to complete phase one and will be working tonight at 5:30pm to get as much done as possible.

If you have a couple of hours, join in. It’s always a great time and we’ll get it done together.

Here are a few things we will be working on:

  • Installing the final KidsLife Door.
  • Installing the remaining baseboard molding
  • Painting the remaining hallway floor and edges of the rooms
  • Installing the drop ceiling in the bathroom hallway
  • Installing the TV mounts
  • Organizing the new storage rooms
  • Installing Molding on the remaining Door

As you can tell, many of these items are small and doable. Let’s do it!

First Seven Days of the 21 Day Challenge

For the FIRST SEVEN days of the 21 Day Challenge we are reading Psalms 1 – 57. You can do it. However, just like we discussed Sunday, be careful not to make it all about completing a task. It’s about washing and renewing your mind with the Word of God.

When reading this week, try to get the most out of what you read from God’s Word by applying the SOAP method…

S – Scripture…write down one verse that “jumps out” and speaks to you. You may want to begin by choosing a particular book in the Bible to read through or maybe a certain topic. Structure helps keep us on track, but a little randomness now and then doesn’t hurt either. 🙂

O – Observations…jot down some notes on what God shows you through the Scripture. God’s Word is living and active…it’s never stagnant. Listen and pay attention to what the LORD wants to show you.

A – Application…make note of some ways you can apply what the Holy Spirit is showing you. Remember…we’re to be doers of the Word not just hearers. What are some practical ways you can incorporate the truth of Scripture into your life.

P – Prayer…take time to pray, asking God to help you carry out His will. Pray for others and how God wants to use you in so many ways! Thank God for speaking to you, for giving you His Word, for teaching you by His Spirit, etc.! Praise Him for being real and active in your life!

”Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:12-13

Happy Reading!
